GENERAL JOB OVERVIEW:
The Control Department Team Leader/Project Manager manages and supervises the workload, schedules and operations of the control technicians while respecting the budgets of the various projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage field technician schedules and operations, including employment issues, service truck management and annual reviews.
- Manage the scope of work and maintain good working relationships with our subcontractors and control vendors.
- Support the service technicians (refrigeration technicians) in performing some of their duties related to our control system maintenance contracts.
- Support the sales team of the service department.
- Support and participate in the sale of control system projects and maintenance contracts with new and existing customers.
- Support and train team members within the department to meet our obligations and objectives.
- Receive and approve timesheets from those under your supervision on a weekly basis and submit to accounting.
- Coordinate the vacation schedule of the technicians.
- Supervise warehouse operations and material management.
- Support the start-up, quality and progress of the work on site.
- Support the start-up, quality and progress of work at the job site; Make necessary corrections to “as-built” control drawings.
- Assist in resolving technical problems during the warranty period.
- Maintain and ensure quality control and minimize project deficiencies.
- Any other related duties.
DESIRED PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
- 8-10 years Experience in automation/control or programming;
- Knowledge of ventilation and plumbing;
- Knowledge of the Office suite;
- Bilingual (French and English);
- Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
